I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S II for my AT&T wireless account a couple of weeks ago. I had previously been using a Motorola Atrix which did not live up to all of the hype and expectations of being one first phones to hit the market with a dual-core CPU. My Atrix lasted less than 6 months and I had forgotten to put insurance on it so I needed a WHOLE NEW PHONE! It just so happened my phone broke on the same day that the iPhone 2 S came out. I was a little embarrassed walking into AT&T and asking for the Galaxy while among all of these fierce iPhone fanatics.
Alright, so let’s skip to the present time. I LOVE my Galaxy phone. In fact I love it so much that I had been researching the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for weeks now. I was so lucky to be given the opportunity to review this awesome piece of technological Heaven. I must say that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a BEAST! It is so FAST – it has a A dual-core Tegra 2 processor and 1 GB of RAM which delivers lightning-fast speed. Not to mention the amazing media clarity thanks to the Galaxy’s 10.1-inch wide-screen display with 1280-by-800-pixel high-definition resolution. Weighing in at about 1.25 pounds the Galaxy tab is extremely light. It is also super thin measuring in at 10.1 by 6.9 by 0.34 inches.
One thing I love is that it features the Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system which makes web browsing and multitasking exceptionally easy. There are tons of apps that I am already familiarized with through my phone, now available on my Tab. The Android Market is the fastest growing app market. There are over 200,000 apps out there!
Another amazing feature is the Back and Front facing cameras. Who would have thought such a thin, powerful device would be equipped with a 3-megapixel camera (rear) and 2- megapixel front-facing camera? I use the front-facing camera for Google Talk video chat and I am also guilty of using the front-facing camera as my own personal mirror!
The best part about the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is that it is compatible with Word, PowerPoint and tons of other Business functions. I am actually able to blog from my tablet! Although I do not recommend giving a Tablet to a toddler, my daughter has helped herself to mine on occassion. She was actually able to start the system up herself and find a couple of games. So if it is easy enough for a 3yr old to use, I am pretty sure the tech-un-savvy should have no problems. My Tab has also taken a couple of falls. My son loves to snatch it from me and on a few occasion it was slammed to the ground. There is not one nick or scratch on it and it is still in prefect condition! So if you are thinking about buying a tablet for the Holiday or maybe you are asking for tablet for yourself.. Get off the Apple Bandwagon and try the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – I promise you will not be disappointed. This product has EVERYTHING you could ask for (some you never knew you needed) packaged together in the slimmest, lightest compact 10.1 Tablet I have ever seen! I think it executes beautifully on all of its advertised features and capabilities, and for that reason Coupon Clipinista gives it 5 stars.
(ps. I took these pictures with my Samsung Galaxy phone – pretty amazing quality for a phone, right?)
